I started taking Red Clover 4 days ago. Primarily to quit smiking but also to cleanse. Maybe it's in my mind but I think its working. I am down to 5 cigarettes a day (used to be 20) I have an ultimate quit date which is 3 days away. I noticed that I am not irritable and am not craving a smoke (smoker for 27 years). I feel good and the best of all is that my skin looks terrific. I also noticed that I have no desire to drink alcohol. Have no taste for it at all. I have had at least 2 glasses of wine every day for as long as I can remember. Have'nt had a drink in 4 days and REALLY do not have the taste or desire for one. Is it working?? guess so.

For alleviating menopausal hot flashes, I can recommend taking a one time daily food suppliment containing 250mg Red Clover concentrate with an effective Isoflavone value of 50mg. Within three days of taking Red Clover concentrate capsules, the possitive effects were noticable, and in two to three weeks, the hot flashes gradually subsided to completely vanish.

I have been taking red clover for about 6 months. I am pre-menopausal and was experiencing extreme hot flashes and insomnia. I do not have any hot flashes anymore - occasional insomnia for maybe an hour or two every month or so. I am very please with the results. I would recommend.

Try Omega-3 for the insomnia. It's great for healing the brain, among other things

Just wanted to let people know that my medical doctor reccomended Red Clover to me. He isn't a great believer in herbal medicines as a whole but said this is one he has seen medical testing and evidence for and knows it can really help to lessen or prevent hot flashes. I have been only somewhat dedicated in taking it and am sure it has helped to ease the hot flashes a lot. I will try and be more dilligent about taking the suggested dosage now I can see all the other potential benefits of taking it!

It was recommended that I use Red Clover when I had a stubborn boil. Within a couple of days, the boil had completely disappeared and have not had any reoccurance. I researched on line that it could calm my bronchial cough and to loosen phlegm, so I continued using the red clover and my my cough went from severe to a minimal cough. Used it for years, then just stopped taking it. I entered my pre menopausal state and begin taking red clover again, within hours of taking it, my hot flashes completely went away. I have not expereienced any ill affects from red clover at all. I feel more energentic, more alert, and definitely more healthy! Would recommend this miracle herb to anyone!!

I have been on estrogen for 25 years because I had a full hysterectomy. I'd like to know if it's possible to take red clover instead. I also use progesterone cream which has really helped with depression. Can I still make tea using red clover if I take .625 estrogen everyday? I want to cut down on estrogen replacement. Thanks,

No. It's clover, not pot. There's no THC in red clover.

I read info about Red Clover not being good for women with breast cancer. My grandmother and I had breast cancer. Red clover got rid of it.

I suffer really bad menopausal symptoms of night sweats and hot flushes. Doctor prescribed Citalopram (anti depressant) but I am loathe to take any medication which has such a lot of side effects. Has anyone else tried this? Considering taking Red Clover instead.

I have POTS, that comes with flashes, I am also 510 YO. Not sure what exactly causes flashes, but probably POTS, since menopausal flashes somewhat feel different. Anyhow, I alternate red clover and stinging nettle teas. Flashes reduced 80-90%.
