I have a question, I am pre-menapausal, heavy periods, irregular and have no sex drive. Is Vitex good for me or is there something else natural that I could use?

Please advise me on what to use in place of premelle 2.5 which my doctor prescribed as my left ovary was removed 4 years ago and now I am suffering with hot flushes and mood swings. I am unhappy with the above product as I have gained alot of extra weight. I am also needing something that could help me lose weight or control my appetite. I would also like a remedy for hayfever/sinus's. thanking you so much Sherol Ferreira ps. Also let me know where I could buy such products.

Hi Donna,
I had fibriod right inside my womb and this was preventing me from getting pregnant. I took agnus castus (the liquid extract) and dandelion root capsules and went purely vegetarian for exactly two months and got pregnant, I also found out from the scan that the fibriod had dissapeared. My child over 2 years now and I am trying for another child and found out my fibriod has grown back again and getting pregnant is a bit difficult. I have just started taking agnus castus and other food supplements today to help me get pregnant.

Hi Gochawr, I have a similar case as yours. I had fibriod right inside my womb and this was preventing me from getting pregnant. I took agnus castus (the liquid extract) and dandelion root capsules and went purely vegetarian for exactly two months and got pregnant, I did a scan and it showed no traces of fibriod. My child is 2 1/2 years now and I am trying for another child and found out my fibriod has grown back again and getting pregnant is a bit difficult. I have just started taking agnus castus and other food supplements today to help me get pregnant.

Hi, I also have PCOS and I've been trying to get pregnant for 2 years. I am taking Metformin now and I took femara, menopure and novarel to induce ovulation during 4 months, but this hormones did not help me to conceive. I just started this month with Vitex and please let me know if this have helped you to ovulate regularly because that's just what I am looking for.

I began taking agnus castus as my menstrual cycle was irregular and I had very heavy and painful periods. Since beginning the treatment I've had a slow but very positive reaction to the herb. My periods now have a very regular cycle and they are much less painful. It took a good 4 months to begin to have effect but it is worth the wait.

Hello, thank you for your input about using Agnus Castus (Vitex) for Uterine Fibroids. After a long research, i decided to start today with GAIA Capsules (Organic). Together with New Chapter Organics Every Woman One Daily. I am 46 years old, having uterine fibroids (three small ). My Gyn Doctor always said is not a problem if they dont grow ( 3 mm, 2 mm, 1 mm are mine) but my periods are heavy and PMS terrible, also, the last three months i have either short cycles (24 days) or long cycles (39 days). Dr. want to try progesteron (Provera) for my period days to see if that help with the heavy blood...i am not going to take any hormones for that. I prefer natural remedies. I am hopeful than taking VITEX i will see improvement as other woman reviews (i dont want to get pregnant, but i want the fibroids to shrink / gone and my PMS get better). I read some contraditory info about VITEX, some sources said is wonderful for that some other advice not to take VITEX if you have uterine fibroids (???) since i read reviews of real people being happy after having fibroid or endiomethiosis, i think it worth trying. I will appreciated anybody who have had uterine fibroids and terrible PMS symptoms having experienced with VITEX, i would like to read more real life reviews. Thank you so much for sharing, only a woman can understand how uncomforable an concerning this could be.

Hi, just started with Agnus Catus a few weeks ago. I have gotten some bad pimples and my armpits smells souer and unfamiliar. I dont feel confortable being around people smelling like this...
Can it be due to the Agnus Castus? have you ever heard about a side effect as this? Can it be an reaction whithin the hormonsystem?
Let me know if you have any other thoughts.

I took Agnus Castus due to my periods where very irregular and i got the symptoms as if i was in the menopause with sweatings a flushes etc, so i read in a mag about this herb, so i googled it a lot and i went to the nature shop in town a bought a tinktur ( drops) and took 15-20 drops twice a day and after a few days i noticed a change the sweatiness was gone and i could sleep and after a cycle ( mine is 27 days ) i even got my period but i was stupid cos i stopped taking it so the month after i got the period again but after that it stopped again, but now i am taking it and i am going to stick to it you have to do that for a minimum of 3 months but it is better if you stick to it for 4-6 months, when i have googled it it always say to follow through it and not try for a baby during the time you take this herb, and if you get pregnant you have to stop, my gynae want to have me doing a keyhole surgery to check my fallopian tubes but i don't think he will find anything he thinks there might be a block but if there is why do i get the period? it doesn't make sense at all, so i am trying this again but for the whole 4-6months ( you can use this for up to 2 years if so )

I am 49 years old. I have been taking this herb for the past 2 months or so. I used to have hot flashes and night sweats. My hair was dropping like crazy. This herb is a miracle. I no longer have night sweats or hot flashes. Especially before my period. My period is regular on the dot and normal. Does not dragged on like before. ( I am not taking any birth control pills or hormones supplements). My breasts are actually firmer. My hair is shiny. I started feeling the effects about 1 week after taking the herbs. I felt better. No mood swings and lesser PMS. It is worth trying and this is inexpensive herbal supplement.
